Questions

In general we will consider the data in the map generator tool (sourced from OSM) to be valid. If there are technical difficulties Google Maps (as described in the offical rules) is the fallback. Nevertheless, the tool will not tell you exactly which feature you are closest to for measuring and matching questions. You need to independently determine that and add it to the question. For technical reasons, not all questions are implemented in the map generator. These have to be solved using Google Maps but can be imported as custom questions into the tool.

All valid questions are shown in the investigation book.

Coastline​

We will consider any coastline, also ones not within the game map (as performed by the map generator tool).

High-Speed Rail Line​

We will consider the route from Kufstein to Innsbruck and further on to Brenner to be the one and only high-speed rail line in the game.

Airports​

All airports are valid, also without commercial flights. Model airfields, helipads and paraglider landing zones excluded. This boils down to:

  • Innsbruck
  • Kufstein/Langkampfen
  • St. Johann
  • Reutte

Mountains​

Mountains are peaks with a prominence of more than 500m or both a Wikipedia article and summit cross.

Major Cities​

We will consider all cities with more than 10000 residents to be major. This boils down to:

  • Innsbruck
  • Telfs
  • Imst
  • Hall in Tirol
  • Schwaz
  • Wörgl
  • Kufstein
